Meralco’s 30 Business Centers, 26 Extension Offices and 41 Payment Offices are strategically positioned across its 9,300 square kilometers of franchise area for more efficient delivery of customer services to its 4.3 million customers. These offices are located in population centers, accessible to customers by both public and private transportation.

Business Centers are manned by trained, efficient and customer-oriented Meralco employees.

THE BUSINESS CENTER

The Business Center is a full service office of Meralco. Processes related to application for electric service, meter reading, billing, payments and inquiries and complaints handling are all done in all of Meralco’s Business Centers. To make going to the Business Center a satisfying experience, parking spaces are allocated, security is ensured, queuing systems are in place, temperature and humidity are controlled, TV sets are installed for viewing, pocket gardens are provided, and for those with children in tow, kiddie corners are offered.

THE EXTENSION OFFICE

The Extension Office is a smaller version of a Business Center Office. All customer transactions are likewise handled at the extension office but back-end processing remains at the Business Center Office.

THE PAYMENT OFFICE

The most numerous of all Meralco offices, Payment Offices were put up to offer convenience to Meralco’s paying customers. They cater only to payments transactions, an activity that all Meralco customers perform monthly. These are located in areas where the Business Center and Extension Office are not readily accessible.
