SMEs play a vital role in the Philippine economy. They comprise 99 percent of businesses nationwide, employ 70 percent of the country's labor force, and account for 32 percent of the Philippines' GDP.
Because SMEs form the backbone of the economy, Meralco has established a support network for them. Our Meralco SME Partners currentlyserve 18,000 small and medium-scale businesses in the Meralco franchise area, each consuming between 40 to 499 kilowatts.

The Meralco SME Partners are your partners within Meralco who are dedicated to understand your business and respond to your electricity needs.
OUR GOAL

We will connect you to what we call our Accredited Meralco Contractors (AMC)- Meralco-accredited contractors, subcontractors, developers, designers and industry organizations that specialize in building and plant design, construction and consultations.
Our goal is to provide electricity to more SME customers, support their expansion plans, and standardize after-sales service.
Accredited Meralco Constractors (AMC) can help you:
Get quicker electricity connection. Our AMCs alert Meralco of their upcoming SME projects months ahead of time. This will allow us to prepare our facilities and equipment (i.e. transformers, power lines, etc.) for your business ahead of time, so you can open your business on schedule.
Avoid costly delays. Because of timely information provided by our AMCs, we will advise you the preparations you need to do to ensure alignment with safety standards - BEFORE you build your establishment and BEFORE you fill up a form applying for Meralco service. This saves your comapny from costly delays and costly rework from failing to meet Meralco standards.
Better plan your business expansion. As your business grows, Meralco and its AMCswill be on hand to assist you in your business expansion.

Time-of-Use (TOU) Rate Program
Are you looking for ways to increase business productivity, further expand your business or gain competitive advantage?
The TOU Rate Program might be able to help you grow your business. TOU rates can help you reduce your business costs through lower electricity rates so that you can already buy those additional machines and equipment, expand your operations or even set up new plants or stores.
TOU rates depend on the time of day electricity is generated, whether peak or off-peak. "Off-peak" is when demand for electricity is low. TOU-qualified Meralco customers can enjoy lower electricity rates during off-peak periods through a lower generation charge.
For more information on TOU, business customers with contracted capacity of 40 to 499 kilowatts may contact our customer hotline at 1622-3763 or email us at sme@meralco.com.ph.
