Want to manage your electric bill easily? With Meralco AppCal, you will know the operating cost of each of your home appliances and how much it contributes to your monthly electric bill.
Launch the Meralco Appliance Calculator (Meralco AppCal). Just choose the device that you are currently using to access the Meralco AppCal.

Through Mobile Phone
- Download the Meralco AppCal zipped installer in the Meralco website (http://www.meralco.com.ph/consumercare/bill.html).
- Open the installer through your phone’s file manager application*.
- For Symbian devices running the Symbian S60 version, first click and install the qt_installer.sis application on the phone memory.
- Click on the meralco_appcal.sis file and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
*Requires phone to have a zip file opener.
Through PC
- Download the Meralco AppCal zipped installer in the Meralco website (http://www.meralco.com.ph/customer/page-cusCare-toolsCalculator.html).
- Unzip the installation files on your PC.
- Connect your Symbian phone to your PC through the USB connector cable.
- Transfer the installation files on your phone memory and disconnect the phone from the PC.
- Browse your phone memory for the location of the Meralco AppCal installation files.
- For Symbian devices running the Symbian S60 version, first click and install the qt_installer.sis application on the phone memory.
- Click on the meralco_appcal.sis file and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
* Minimum Compatible OS: Android 2.2 (Froyo)
Through Mobile Phone
- Download the Meralco AppCal installation file (.apk file) in the Meralco website (http://www.meralco.com.ph/customer/page-cusCare-toolsCalculator.html).
- Open the installer through your phone’s file manager application*.
- Click on the MeralcoAppCal.apk and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
- Click on the meralco_appcal.sis file and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
*Requires phone to have a zip file opener.
Through PC
- Right click the Android icon found in the Meralco website (http://www.meralco.com.ph/customer/page-cusCare-toolsCalculator.html) and select Save Target As.
- In the File Name field, add .apk after MeralcoAppCal.
- In the Save As Type field, select All Files.
- Connect your Android device to your PC through the USB connector cable.
- Transfer the installation files on your phone memory and disconnect the device from the PC.
- Browse your phone memory for the location of the Meralco AppCal installation file.
- Click on the MeralcoAppCal.apk and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
* Minimum Compatible OS: BlackBerry 5.0
Through Mobile Phone
- Open the BlackBerry App World application in your phone.
- Search for Meralco Appliance Calculator in the search engine of the application.
- Click on the Download link and follow the screen directions to install the Meralco AppCal on the phone memory.
*Requires phone to have a zip file opener.
Through PC
- Download the Meralco AppCal zipped installer in the Meralco website (http://www.meralco.com.ph/customer/page-cusCare-toolsCalculator.html).
- Unzip the installation files on your PC.
- Connect your BlackBerry phone to your PC through the USB connector cable.
- Import the application through the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
- Open the Blackberry Desktop Software in your desktop PC or laptop.
- Click Applications in the left side navigator.
- Click the Import button.
- Locate for the installer file in the directory where you saved it.
- Click the Sync button to install the file in the Blackberry phone.
- The icon for the Meralco AppCal can now be seen in the mobile device.

Helpful tips in using the Meralco AppCal
To compute for appliances not found or listed
Click on the appliance category. For the "Type of Appliance", select "Others" at the bottom of the list. For "Wattage", type in the wattage rating found in the operator’s manual or on the body of the appliance (usually in watts or w). Note: Select the GENERAL APPLIANCES category if you are not sure of the appliance category.
To compute using specific wattages
Change the default wattage that appears after selecting the type of appliance by typing in the specific wattage in the "Wattage" field.

The computation results of the Meralco AppCal may slightly vary from the actual consumption reflected in the Meralco customer’s monthly electric bill and therefore, the Meralco AppCal computation results should not be used in any way for billing purposes, complaints, claims, or suits against Meralco, its officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers and other partners.
