2. How can I enable my payment confirmation notification?

For My Meralco app:

  1. From the dashboard, go to the Menu Suite.
  2. Tap Notification Settings.
  3. Tap the dropdown icon for Payment Confirmation and tick Email. You may also choose to tick SMS* and Push Notifications depending on your preference.

For users registered through Customer Database webform:

  1. On the Privacy Policy page, click the 'Proceed' button.
  2. Input your 10-Digit Customer Account Number and Service ID Number, then click the 'Next' button.
  3. Input your First and Last Name, then click the 'Next' button.
  4. Choose the 'Notification Enrollment Update'.
  5. Tick boxes to choose your preferred notification:
    • SMS
    • Email
  6. Once done, tap 'Save.' A dialog box will pop up to confirm; select 'Yes' to save your changes.
  7. The Summary page will show the updates made. Click 'Next.'
  8. Once the OTP has been verified, there will be a notification confirming that the contact information was successfully updated.

The digitized official receipt (OR) is applicable for payments made starting November 18, 2024. For payments made before this date, you may still request a copy of your official receipt from your nearest Meralco Business Center. Click here for the list of business centers.

4. I received a digitized Official Receipt (OR) through email but can’t access it anymore. Why?

The link for your digitized OR expires after 7 days of receipt. Make sure to download a copy upon receipt. In case it expires, you may still request a copy of your official receipt from your nearest Meralco Business Center. Click here for the list of business centers.

5. Can I use the digitized Official Receipt (OR) for tax filing?

With the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) law, Official Receipts are now considered supplementary documents for tax filling purposes and serve as proof of payment for Meralco customers. Meralco invoices or your electric bills serve as primary documents for sale of services and claiming of input VAT.
