Power Consult and Power Match

Right-size power for the way you operate

Planning early can reduce avoidable construction work, support timely energization, and keep contracted capacity aligned with your actual demand.

New sites and expansions

Bring Meralco into site planning before electrical facilities are finalized. The review can cover the proposed location, electrical load, service requirements, and the facilities needed to connect safely.

Contract right-sizing

Compare actual peak demand with your contracted capacity. Capacity that is consistently too high can leave facilities underused; capacity that is too low can overload facilities and create safety risks.

Explore Power Match
Generator-to-grid planning

If your site relies on generator sets, Power Gain can help assess a grid connection for a scalable primary supply while generators remain available for appropriate backup use.

Rates and operating profile

Use demand information to choose the right program

Your bill and load profile show when and how your business uses electricity. That evidence should guide any change in contract or pricing program.

Peak and Off-Peak

This alternative pricing scheme is designed for businesses whose operations already run, or can be shifted, into approved off-peak periods. Eligibility, rates, fees, and savings depend on current ERC-approved terms and your load profile.

Customer choice

Eligible businesses may also compare retail electricity or renewable-energy suppliers through regulated customer-choice programs.

Solar and distributed energy

Choose the interconnection path before installation

System size, ownership, and whether electricity will be exported determine which Meralco and ERC process applies.

Net Metering

For eligible renewable-energy systems with a capacity of 100 kW or less, a bi-directional meter records electricity imported from Meralco and eligible excess electricity exported to the grid for bill credits.

Distributed Energy Resources

Larger or differently structured installations may follow the exporting DER or non-exporting DER path. Meralco evaluates the proposed interconnection so the facility can operate safely with the distribution system.

Plan before you buy
  • Match generation capacity to your daytime load and operating pattern.
  • Confirm roof, structural, equipment, and service-entrance requirements with qualified professionals.
  • Choose an experienced provider and complete Meralco interconnection requirements before operating the system.

Power Ideas

Focus first on the equipment that drives your load

Start with operating systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment choices that have the greatest effect on your electricity use.

Cooling and refrigeration
  • Use settings that meet comfort or process needs without overcooling.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning and preventive-maintenance schedule.
  • Inspect seals, controls, airflow, and equipment sizing before replacing units.
Motors, lighting, and production equipment
  • Switch off idle equipment and sequence high-demand loads where operations allow.
  • Check voltage compatibility, phase balance, and power factor with qualified professionals.
  • Compare total operating cost, not only purchase price, when selecting equipment.
Electric vehicles and fleets

Assess route requirements, charging windows, site capacity, and charger installation together. A fleet plan should account for both vehicles and the electrical facilities that will support them.

Before you choose a cost-saving program

  1. What information should I prepare for a consultation?

Prepare recent bills, operating hours, planned equipment or expansion, current contracted capacity, and any load-profile data already available. This gives the team a practical starting point.

  2. Does every program guarantee savings?

No. Results depend on your load profile, contract, equipment, operating schedule, program rules, and investment cost. Ask for an assessment based on your own data before deciding.
