Induction Cooking

Check cookware compatibility, electrical capacity, controls, ventilation, safe installation, and cooking habits before choosing induction.

Understand the complete cooking setup

Induction equipment creates a changing magnetic field that heats compatible cookware. The cooking surface and nearby parts can still become hot from the pan, so follow the manufacturer's warnings and controls.

Before buying

  • Test that cookware is induction-compatible and has a flat base of a suitable size.
  • Confirm the appliance rating, circuit, outlet or fixed connection, protection, and installation requirements with a qualified professional.
  • Check countertop clearance, ventilation, controls, child-lock features, and cleaning instructions.
  • Compare the hob or cooker with the portions and methods you use, not with an unrelated appliance.

During use

  • Center compatible cookware on the marked area and use only the power needed.
  • Keep controls and ventilation openings clean and dry.
  • Never use damaged glass, cords, plugs, cookware, or equipment that reports a fault.
