Cleaning

Plan laundry, drying, ironing, and vacuuming so each cycle or session does useful work without overloading equipment.

Make each cycle count

Use the appliance manual to understand load size, cycle purpose, detergent, filters, and maintenance. A full useful load is different from an overloaded drum or blocked airflow.

Laundry and drying

  • Sort loads so the chosen water level, temperature, and cycle suit the fabrics.
  • Wash a practical full load without exceeding the machine's capacity.
  • Use effective spin settings and line-dry where conditions, fabric care, and household needs allow.
  • Clean lint filters and keep dryer vents clear according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Ironing and vacuuming

  • Group similar fabrics and iron in batches, starting with lower-temperature items when appropriate.
  • Use the correct temperature and switch off when the work is done; never leave a hot iron unattended.
  • Empty or replace vacuum dust containers and filters as instructed so airflow remains effective.
  • Use the attachment and power setting that suits the surface rather than repeatedly cleaning the same area.
